R1A Perforated Composite Acoustic Panel
The composite acoustic roof panel uses polyurethane and rock wool together as its core, providing fire resistance and sound insulation while also offering thermal insulation.
The rock wool in the core contains many interconnected fine voids, which convert the vibration energy of sound waves into heat and absorb it.
The inner surface is made of perforated steel sheet, allowing incident sound waves to resonate in cavities that are narrow at the opening and wide at the base; the sound waves collide with the cavity walls and base as well as with one another, consuming sound energy and achieving sound absorption.
The combination of regularly perforated steel sheet and an acoustic core produces an enhanced sound-absorbing effect. Tests show that noise reduction reaches no less than 29 dB.
